The super-talented young designer Nina Christen has created footwear for the likes of Céline, Bottega Veneta and Loewe. Quite simply she designs shoes that women want to wear, from the wild eccentricities of her balloon pumps - yes, literally made with balloons – to the deeply satisfying slouchy leather of her ankle boot in the same collection.
For At.Kollektive, Nina was excited to roll up her sleeves, get stuck into the leather innovation in ECCO’s tanneries. “The possibilities are amazing. The cutting-edge technology and material development meant that I could do extremely complex things with leather in a month that would usually take me a year.”
